GEVA nimmt als erster Anbieter den Payment Notification Service (PNS) für ein Bundesministerium über die Deutsche Bundesbank in Betrieb.
Das Bundesministerium ist nun in der Lage mit der GEVA Lösung Instant Payments bestmöglich zu nutzen. Eine bis heute bestehende Lücke, die Geldeingänge von der Deutschen Bundesbank als Kontoeingang in Echtzeit zu erhalten und damit die internen Systeme mit Buchungsinformationen ebenso in Echtzeit versorgen zu können, wird nun durch den GEVA PNS Service geschlossen.
GEVA setzt hierfür folgende Module ein:
- GEVA PNR
Das Payment Notification Routing (PNR) bildet die Basis für diese Anwendung. Es hält die Kommunikation mit der Deutschen Bundesbank und den internen Systemen aufrecht und bleibt dabei im Sekundenbereich, um den Anforderungen von Instant Payments auch gerecht zu werden.
- GEVA QR Code Generator
Das GEVA Modul unterstützt die Inhouse Systeme bei der Zahlungsinitiierung in Richtung der Endkunden mit einem genormten QR Code. Die fest errechneten End-to-End Referenzen werden an das Modul GEVA AVIS Verwaltung weitergegeben.
- GEVA R2P
Alternativ zur QR Code Erzeugung unterstützt GEVA auch den Request to Pay (R2P) Prozess mit den Kundenanbindungen an die Deutsche Bundesbank. Damit erhält der/die Zahlende eine elektronische Zahlungsanforderung – initiiert von der Deutschen Bundesbank über die eigene Hausbank. Im Falle einer positiven Antwort wird mit einer Instant Payment adhoc ausgeglichen. Bei Ablehnung wird der Zahlungsantrag storniert. Die fest errechneten End-to-End Referenzen werden an das Modul GEVA AVIS Verwaltung weitergegeben.
- GEVA AVIS Verwaltung
Die GEVA AVIS Verwaltung ist die zentrale Anlaufstelle für Zahlungsvormerkungen und Payment Notifications von der Deutschen Bundesbank. In dieser Einheit erfolgen das Matching und die finalen Buchungsbestätigungen.
Neben der Einführung in Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Bundesbank gibt es bereits weiteres Interesse von Banken an dieser Lösung.

Front Runner for PNS and R2P in the Public Sector
GEVA is the first payment provider to launch the Payment Notification Service (PNS) for a German Federal Ministry via the Deutsche Bundesbank.
The Federal Ministry is now able to use Instant Payments with the GEVA payment solution. The GEVA PNS Service now adds the capability to receive the instant payment notifications by Deutsche Bundesbank. As a result, the booking information can be processed and provided to the internal booking applications in real time.
GEVA established the following modules for this purpose:
- GEVA PNR
The Payment Notification Routing (PNR) is the core service for this application. It maintains the real time communication with Deutsche Bundesbank and the internal payment and booking systems. Based on the definitions of Instant Payments a timely response within seconds is guaranteed.
- GEVA QR Code Generator
This GEVA module supports the customer payments systems in initiating an end-to-end communication via standardized QR codes. The GEVA AVIS Administration module will then handle and process the established communication.
- GEVA R2P
If a QR code is no option, GEVA also supports the payment process via a direct connection to Deutsche Bundesbank. In this case an electronic payment process is initiated by the Deutsche Bundesbank via the house bank. If the payment process is confirmed positively, the instant payment request will be settled directly. If it will be rejected the payment request will be cancelled. The necessary end-to-end references for this communication are handled by the GEVA AVIS Administration module.
- GEVA AVIS Administration
The GEVA AVIS Administration is the central feature for payment references and payment notifications from the Deutsche Bundesbank. In this unit the matching and the final booking confirmations take place.
Based on the successful launch more banks will be onboarded in the near future to add the Instant Payment Service to their customershe near future.
